Why a LinkedIn carousel is really a PDF
The swipeable slides in your feed are not a gallery of images. A LinkedIn carousel is a document post, and what you are swiping through are pages of a PDF that LinkedIn renders one at a time.
That is useful to know, because it means the original file exists and can be recovered whole, with its pages in order, rather than screenshotted slide by slide.
What you get when you download a carousel
The complete PDF, exactly as it was uploaded, and every page as a separate image at the highest resolution LinkedIn stores. Take the PDF to keep a reference, take a single slide to reuse one idea.
How to copy a LinkedIn post link
Click the three dots at the top right of the post and choose "Copy link to post". Paste it above. A link from the address bar works too, as long as the post is public.
Can you reuse someone else's carousel?
For ordinary picture posts rather than documents, use the image downloader.
A carousel is somebody's work, often hours of it. Saving it for reference is one thing, reposting it is another. Ask before you reuse someone else's slides.
